We are Cook Cartel! Cook Cartel is a multiple award winning competition Barbecue Team hailing from the deep Westside of Auckland City, New Zealand.
We’re a family team, consisting of Michael, Steven and the old man, Brian aka 'The Captain'.
We've got a super competitive nature with a passion for good food and amazing BBQ, so we’re out to test against the best in New Zealand. Taking on the competition barbecue scene in the Jack Daniel's New Zealand Barbecue Alliance events. We have recently cemented ourselves in the comp circuit with multiple Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Championship wins. Our latest, and biggest accolade to date was winning Grand Champion at Meatstock Melbourne! And, we just cracked our 9th Perfect 300 score! Yes NINTH.

Mike has a background in Signwriting and is the owner of Falcon Signs Ltd. Steve is the owner/operator of The Creative Alliance Ltd & Creative Design & Print. We design and print all of our own stickers & merch out of our West Auckland workshop and like to give it all our Cartel 'seal of approval'.
"The Captain" resides in the sunny far north, has a background in Sales and House Inspections. When you're the old man, every day is Fun Friday!
